Vibrant Color Palettes

A vibrant palette spends its energy on saturation. These are the sets where two or three colors are pushed close to their brightest clean value, and the neutrals exist mainly to give those colors somewhere to sit. Vibrant palettes belong to brands that want to be noticed in a feed, to packaging that has to hold attention on a shelf, and to interfaces aimed at an audience that reads energy as confidence.

The difficulty is always the same: the more saturated the colors, the less they can do on their own. The palettes below lead with the strongest Visual Intelligence Index scores, then the most-saved, and each opens onto a page where its colors, roles and contrast readings can be inspected before any of them is used at scale.

The palettes that work here usually give the saturated colors different jobs rather than different weights: one is a fill, one is an accent, and the neutrals do the structural work. Where two brights are asked to do the same job, the set becomes hard to read at any size. Each palette page lists which role each color was assigned, which is the fastest way to tell a designed vibrant set from a collection of loud colors.
